it started in Euro House / techno and trickled through R&B to clean up imperfections vocal wise so there's no bad notes , but done slightly to where you wouldnt tell ...now it's on to Hip Hop where it's becoming a staple of Hip Hop Hits and basically it has to be displayed for what it is that nothing subtle about it- The Vocoder used by the The Late Roger Troutman who was the Grandfather and now T-Pain the Godfather of this sound has single handedly made every record a hit as for T-pain he was on every top 10 hit last year - it was one point where T-pain owned the radio and ringtones ..so just like any trend that's Winning . others had to catch on and if you have pro-tools and this feature i must say its Fun To try i mean you can be a decent singer and pull it off..so if it works why not.

when i was growing up it was rare to hear New Music often - alot of us older Hip Hop Enthusiast had a couple of outlets twice out the week tune in Thursdays to 89.1 Martin Moore and Mayhem and followed by 89.9 Stretch and Bobbito thats where you go to hear the new Biggie,Boot camp Click, MOP , Mobb Deep, Jay Z ..thats where u heard the Treats off the album or just out the studio - Freestyles for days..my boy DJ TraJ prolly got all them Freestyles on the low
- but i remember making a Cassette in b4 i went to school and pressing record, with the auto reverse for full tapes..went through so many tapes that had to put tissue in the Commercial Cassettes i copped to record more shows - every week we'll talk about New shit we got off the Radio..but Forwarding ahead now you can subscribe to Sirius/XM satelite and get as much new shit you want and if you really want old or new joints The Blog SItes and Share sites are pushing out very very exclusive records

No matter how you see it we all grind to survive and to pursue Happiness, when you want your own..you have to work hard to get it, when the chips is down you have to be optimistic in getting the chips back up - some are trying to reach the American Dream while there's few that want to get to the root of the Power that runs this System... and then there's those who will stop you by any means so you cannot get those answers or even enjoy your Life a.k.a Haters i checked out M Night Shalaman's The Village a few years back..now when i 1st saw it i seen it as mad corny..but as you sit with the message in your mind i realized ..the Village was founded and made up with rules and procedures and fear to never leave the grounds - so those born would not know the bigger picture - back to reality
think about the Village Concept and think about today's Society -
i'm no one to teach but i'm one to think Logically and use Common Sense..it's more out there then what's in the textbooks
through lies and deception there is a root wherever that root leads understand and be ready for the answer you seek

The Kid is Back 32 Years Later - did some small celebrating for the born day shouts to all the LEOS and VIRGOS
As The Weather slowly drifts into having to wear longer sleeves and jackets - Summer is a wrap and time to prepare to wrap up 2008 with a bang fall is one of the seasons i fucks wit - unfortunately BE THE JUDGE will be pushed back until mid 1st Quarter of 2009
so im back to the the beats and trying to manifest these features - and get these Ideas bubbling , during the course of the album i witnessed a few setbacks and rearranging so things can be worked out - this time has also taught me alot in preparation and what the Hip Hop world needs- a Cult Classic where you have fans believe in your idea and vision without the Machine being involved and start a mass Following all on word of mouth,and its time to give them another one
an Idea is a powerful gift we have to Gain Worldwide Appeal with Substantial Benefits
when we grow up before the Matrix Teaches us how to work their Ideas - we are given the ability to use our imagination

before i got into Music i was into Art and Sketching and Comic Book Art was my passion - going to La Guardia High School i had the opportunity of meeting some good people that had Visions and back then Hip Hop inspired us.. to paint pictures Vocally or Musically when it was still kinda in the pre-teen stages it grew with us

I can't say how much of a shock this weekend was...1st Bernie Mac left us and Today we Lose one of the sickest Composers/innovators of our time Isaac Hayes leaves us at the age 65 .. I have to say Issac Hayes is one of the main reasons i began Producing and Composing he gave us his soul through his music when the black community was oppressed and hopeless back in the 60s and 70s he created the Theme Music of the streets, growing up to his music since i was born through my pops countless collection of records,45s and 8 tracks (yeah 8 tracks) he inspired me to someday score films and to make elaborate hip hop compositions
his use of strings and hard drums and horns made a staple in the form of soul music - his sound was that of rhythm and blues classical funk - many Artist have sampled the works of Isaac Hayes as he embraced the Hip Hop Community and his sound will live on forever
Isaac Hayes thank you for giving us producers and artist the formula for creating Masterpieces
you'll be missed

He gave this Planet 50 years of his experience, his pain, his Laughter ,his LIfe..and now that his physical is non-existent, his spirit will be here forever.
Gone too soon..i'm still shocked at this loss, Mac was sick for a lil but as we expected his Underdog persona was to come up out of the sickness and make us laugh for years to come ..for he was fighting his own battle which was unfortunately Lost this morning - when someone passes on we have to reflect on the memories and the Joy they brought into this world-
so in honor to Bernie Mac and Condolences to the Mac family here's a Tribute ...you'll be missed

Back from Toronto , definitely had a good time and linked with good people and the team i run wit out there, shouts to Stone also Cylla ( congrats on that Jim Jones placement)...time to officially make noise out there..also Drake was in the mix and my boys 40 and Oliver as well..Oliver good look on the Ransom get ups for the shoot with Reesee one of the sickest photographers coming up (www.ziggazaggaproductions.com) for a lil shoot i did which should be up soon...the CIty of Toronto was Live..not as Live as previous years but still The Events was a lil retarded out there..my peoples at Maximus put on their Annual event every Caribana that featured Rick Ross and also had between 2000 to 4000 folks in the building so shouts to lil X , Taj , Rahmel and Diggz - it was a wild night and the Ladies was out and looking Phenomenal - shouts to Lola and her girls...also Mercedez and the team who was Extra crazy last weekend..lol
Zaire held it down too with her sexy self, Anaya Hayes made an appearance also the homie Destinee
who brought her fine ass friend Alusha..oh and much love to Chrissy
i enjoyed myself again and definitely will be back in a couple months to follow up on business ventures and more music
Overall there was great energy out there- Music was put on hold for a weekend- which was needed so i can return fresh and ready to make more great music -

i remember back in the 90s when ATCQ ( A Tribe Called Quest) was making noise and the movement was electric..The Native Tongue was my shit - i mean i appreciated the art that movement brought to Hip Hop..which is sort of how the new movement of MCs is starting to develop into but its those who remain original that will lead the new school of MCs into the Echelon of Hip Hop Greats -
so as im a young dude back in mid to late 90s im into a vast array of Hip Hop..thats all i listened to all day and all night was Hip Hop - from seeing HOT 97 evolve into the station where Hip Hop Lives, from hearing Biggie 1st record on 89.9 stretch and bobbito to hearing Wu Tang Clan very 1st joint on 89.1
Hip Hop has grown ever since and has become the heart beat of music all over -
now with that said brings me to my boy Consequence - who came on the scene during the prime of Tribe Called Quest and dropped a memorable verse on "Stressed Out" - after the disbandment of ATCQ dude remained active..behind the scenes and in the right circle ..i give him much respect for staying at it and seeing his craft through ..so through the circles i've been linking with trying to link all the circles together and create a strong chain of success i was put on bout Cons through my boy Poly King who was peoples with dude and also my home girl ODESSA who is a actually making a lil noise herself..i'll get back to her in coming days
so she comes to NY and was like she was chosen to be in a video for Consequence called Breakfast of Champions which was real cutting edge vid when it comes to camera work and content

After years of many Batman films and cartoons .. this Franchise decided to actually give Batman The Approach it deserved and Director Christopher Nolan (Memento,The Prestige) ran wit it and never looked back 1st "Batman Begins" which took us into the creation of Batman and his days as a Ninja and heir to a very wealthy empire and made alot of Logic into what this Series will be -

by July 18th 2008 the 2nd installment will be unveiled the highly anticipated "The Dark Knight" - which unfortunately will be one of the last appearances of Actor Heath Ledger (R.i.P)

I'm not one to predict a great film and the outcome but i believe this will be be one of those cinematic masterpieces that will be remembered for years to come - not to say Tim Burtons Version wasn't dope cause it was.. but i know this will be much iller

After getting 2 dope Verses, which were Extra OD in Bar Length - but also stuck to the Concept of Overdosing on that track - i reached back out to my boy Mickey Factz who i worked with for mad years and sent him the version of Drake on the 1st Verse and he came into studio and spit some Heroin which was very innovative and this is how it went down ....

When i 1st decided to create an album it was all new to me , i mean i been a part of Major Albums in the Past but now it's time to build a legacy and Market my Value and Meaning to Hip Hop and Music ... so the title " BE THE JUDGE" came to mind - not sure how it came but i seen the vision and followed it through..basically the Album Meaning is at the end of the day No One can Judge you but You before God Judges you - so Be The Judge Is saying Be Yourself - in a world filled with so much Fabrication and Phoniness and music having artist sell their souls to become a household name for the price of Fame - sometimes you just wanna be yourself and not commit to changing for Label Puppet Masters - so that said " Be You"

- so when i started this Album i went through a Transition period that tried to put a damper on the creation of this record - when things turn against you when you're a positive person it's usually the opposite "Negative".

- i seen myself not letting that Energy lose my focus and i began my Journey by Traveling To Toronto and working on a few records out there and actually coming across a dope talent by the name of Drake - who respected my grind and took the vision i had for a record and wrote a chapter in pages of History that will follow his Dream for so much has came in his path since penning that Verse - The Title i gave him for the record was "Overdose On Life"
